How does PortEscort help with MTSA compliance?+
PortEscort automatically maintains visitor logs, escort assignment records, and timestamped audit trails required by MTSA regulations. All data is stored securely and can be exported for Coast Guard inspections and compliance audits, helping you meet your Facility Security Plan (FSP) documentation requirements.
Do we need to change our existing security procedures?+
No. PortEscort is designed to supplement your existing security procedures, not replace them. It integrates into your current workflow by handling the scheduling and administrative side of escort management while your security staff continue to carry out escorts according to your FSP.
How does the visitor scheduling process work?+
Visitors create a PortEscort account, verify their identity through phone, email, and photo ID checks, then select your facility, choose an available date and time, and pay the service fee. Your security staff see all upcoming visit appointments in real time through the PortEscort dashboard.

How does payment collection work?+
Service fees are collected electronically at the time of scheduling through secure payment processing. Funds are deposited directly to your facility's account on a regular payout schedule. No more chasing payments, manual invoicing, or handling cash on-site.
Can we customize service fees and scheduling rules?+
Yes. Each facility sets its own service fees, operating hours, lead-time requirements, and scheduling windows. You can configure different rates and rules for each location within your organization.
How long does it take to get set up?+
